Bio

Rushi Potdar is the Associate Director for the Oncology Solid Tumor Team. Rushi supports the prostate portfolio. In this role is he responsible for generating evidence to support US oncology portfolio, providing safety oversight, engaging KoLs and supporting integrated portfolio strategy.

Rushi joined Johnson & Johnson in 2012. Most recently, Rushi served as Director R&D Strategy and Business Operations for J&J Medical Devices. In that role, he drove innovation strategy and portfolio management across orthopedic, cardiovascular and surgical device businesses. He also provided leadership to key initiatives in digital and China innovation strategy. Prior to his role at J&J Medical Devices, Rushi served as Chief of Staff for the World-Wide Chairman of DePuy Synthes Companies and had roles in marketing and key accounts management in the orthopedic business.

Rushi received his medical degree and completed residency training in general surgery in India. He is board certified in General Surgery. His area of clinical interest and expertise is surgical oncology. Following his residency, he practiced as an oncologic surgeon in a large tertiary care center in India. After relocating to the US, Rushi earned his full time MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business with specialization in health sector management and marketing. He is passionate about any innovation that can improve oncology care.
