Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS @ NYC turns THREE this month! It’s an exciting time for the region since NYC justannounced[1] it would double its investment in the Life Sciences in an effort to advance the research and development of new medicines, medical devices, diagnostics, materials, and research tools. As we start to see the city bounce back from the pandemic, we’re reminiscing on our impact in the ecosystem to date.

Since the Grand Opening, our community has helped transform great ideas into potentially life-changing solutions for patients around the world. We celebrated successes with our Johnson & Johnson Innovation leaders, and we shared milestones with JLABS @ NYC residents. We welcomed our first residents toBLUE KNIGHT™, a joint initiative between Johnson & Johnson Innovation and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).
In 2020, JLABS @ NYC announced theNYC Innovation QuickFire Challenge on Neuroscience. Our awardee,Biorchestra, is a pharmaceutical company developing RNA-based therapeutics that regulate mRNA and microRNA and a drug delivery system that can effectively and safely deliver them to specific target organs.
