Johnson & Johnson Innovation Names Bainisha as Awardee in the Advancing Joint Replacement Surgery QuickFire Challenge

February 23, 2022 — Johnson & Johnson Innovation, together with the R&D organization of DePuy Synthes, the Orthopaedic Company of Johnson & Johnson, announced today that Bainisha is the awardee of the Advancing Joint Replacement Surgery QuickFire Challenge. The challenge invited innovators to submit concepts, prototypes and developed technologies that have the potential to address current technology limitations in orthopaedic joint replacement surgery.

Bainishaaims to bring unique and novel data sets to the Med Tech ecosystem from their proprietary technology, an ultrathin self-adhesive displacement sensor based on dielectric electroactive polymer technology. Through smart data collected, Bainisha aims to potentially deliver more effective diagnosis and treatments, enable cost savings and increase satisfaction rates.

To help advance their science, Bainisha will receive $50,000 in grant funding, access to the global Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS network and mentorship from experts across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.*

The QuickFire Challenges are managed by Johnson & Johnson Innovation, with the goal to address today’s greatest healthcare challenges.
