jlabs @华盛顿特区is part of the Children’s National expansion to a 12-acre portion of the historic Walter Reed Army Medical Center campus. Walter Reed dates back to 1909 from its original location at Fort McNair on the DC waterfront and with views of the Virginia shoreline, offering access to the outside world and picturesque landscapes to help aid the recovery of sick soldiers. To honor this vision and Walter Reed’s service to veterans for more than a century, JLABS @ Washington, DC mixes accessible outdoor terrace and garden areas adjacent to open programming space featuring an interactive digital wall, and encircled by built-for-purpose conference rooms and laboratory areas. Mindful of an innovator’s limited time, the campus’ strategic location also offers unmatched proximity to relevant healthcare federal agencies, as well as decision- and policy-makers in the nation’s research and scientific center of excellence.
